Before you call
What's useful to have to hand
None of this is essential — but the more you can tell us, the more useful our first conversation will be, and the better an idea we'll have of what you're dealing with before we arrive.
- Where it is. Which room, which wall, and roughly how high up the damp reaches.
- When it appeared, and whether it changes with the weather or the seasons.
- What the property is. Age, terraced or detached, solid wall or cavity if you know.
- What's outside that wall — a path, a flower bed, a downpipe, a neighbouring building.
- Photos. Two or three of the wall, plus one of the outside face, tell us a lot.
- Anything already done. Previous treatments, who by, and whether it helped.
